Kia Seltos 2024: Enhanced Exterior, Upgraded Interior, and Advanced Safety Features
Kia Seltos 2024 arrives in the Vietnamese market with four variants: 1.5 AT, 1.5 Luxury, 1.5 Premium, priced at 599 million, 679 million, and 739 million VND respectively. The 1.5 GT-Line variant will be announced later. The vehicle continues to be assembled domestically in Chu Lai, Quang Nam at Thaco’s factory.
Overall, the Kia Seltos’ exterior has been upgraded with a more stylish grille and front bumper. The headlights remain similar to the previous version but with added cutouts, creating a new LED daytime running light design. The rear end has been redesigned with more eye-catching taillights, featuring an L-shaped light strip connecting both sides of the vehicle and leading to the center Kia logo. The rear bumper has also been enhanced for a more refined appearance.
The bodywork remains largely unchanged, with different colored side skirts, black roof rails, and power-adjustable side mirrors with turn signals. It features newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels inspired by the Kia Sportage.
Inside, the most significant changes are the 10.25-inch central infotainment screen and 10.25-inch steering wheel display, which are now seamlessly integrated on a single flat surface, providing enhanced connectivity with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other cabin details remain largely unchanged, while the mechanical parking brake has been upgraded to an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold. The Kia Seltos 2024 also features a HUD display and paddle shifters, a unique offering in its segment.
The interior still features leather upholstery, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with cooling function, dual-zone climate control, electric tailgate, and Smartkey keyless entry.
The ADAS safety system is also equipped across all four variants, including: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Adaptive Headlights, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Driver Attention Warning. In addition, the vehicle still comes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Rearview Camera, Rear Parking Sensors, and six airbags.
The Kia Seltos 2024 offers two engine options: a 1.5 Smartstream engine with 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque paired with an upgraded CVT automatic transmission featuring dual injectors. The other option is a 1.5 Turbo engine with 158 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque equipped with a new Continuously Variable Valve Duration (CVVD) system and a 7-speed DCT wet dual-clutch transmission. The vehicle has Normal/Eco/Sport drive modes, along with Snow/Mud/Sand terrain modes to allow drivers to adapt to various driving conditions.
