Dubai and other parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been hit by record-breaking rainfall, with some areas receiving more than 142 mm and even up to 250 mm of rain. This is the heaviest rainfall in 75 years, and the city has been left flooded, with transport almost completely paralyzed as thousands of cars have been badly damaged.

Videos capturing numerous supercars submerged in water have been surfacing, with several left stranded in underground car parks and garages, while others have been filmed attempting to drive through flooded roads, even if just a few inches deep. As such, footage of a Pagani Utopia casually driving through a flooded street has gathered much attention online.
The video shows the owner of the Pagani Utopia hesitating for a few seconds before deciding to drive straight through the flooded street, seemingly unconcerned about the risk of water entering the engine or causing damage. While a white Nissan Patrol ahead of him had little problem navigating the water, this was a proper test for the Pagani Utopia, which sits very low to the ground to maximize its aerodynamics. Fortunately, the Italian hypercar made it through without any issues.
Just 99 examples of the million-dollar Pagani Utopia will be produced globally, and with a price tag of $2 million, it costs approximately $48 billion. The Pagani Utopia continues to be powered by an AMG-sourced twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine, but it now produces 852 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque and is 70 kg lighter than the Huayra. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed manual transmission or a single-clutch automated manual transmission, which is said to be one of the most complex gearboxes in the automotive industry.
