Nissan Teana 20th Anniversary Black Gold Edition: A Commemoration of a Legacy
On April 22, 2024, the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture unveiled a special edition of the mid-size sedan Teana, known as the Altima in other markets. This special edition is aptly named the Nissan Teana 20th Anniversary Black Gold Edition.
Developed on the 2.0L XL-TLS Enjoy Edition currently sold in China, the Nissan Teana 20th Anniversary Black Gold Edition is priced at 191,200 Chinese yuan (approximately $27,300). After deducting incentives offered during the initial launch period, the price drops to 145,000 yuan ($20,600).
True to its name, this special edition was created to commemorate the Nissan Teana’s 20 years in the Chinese market. During this time, Chinese consumers have purchased close to 2 million units of Nissan’s mid-size sedan.
In keeping with the Black Gold Edition moniker, this special edition of the Nissan Teana features an Obsidian Black exterior paint scheme. Contrasting with the black are gold accents such as the front bumper trim and the lettering on the trunk lid. These accents complement the sharp LED lighting system, smoke-colored grille, and two-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The Nissan Teana 20th Anniversary Black Gold Edition retains the regular model’s powertrain. It continues to use a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that generates 156 horsepower and 197 Nm of torque. The engine pairs with a CVT automatic transmission and achieves an average fuel consumption of 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers.
The Nissan Teana was once officially sold in Vietnam as a fully imported model from the United States, competing with the Toyota Camry. However, since 2019, the model has been discontinued in Vietnam. In 2020, it was also discontinued in Thailand, along with the X-Trail and Sylphy.
