The world’s largest Gumball 3000 supercar rally will officially take place next week, and interestingly, Cambodian tycoons have changed their plans to bring six supercars to Vietnam to attend the departure ceremony, instead of hosting it at their Bavet border gate. Among these cars are a pair of Bugatti Chirons, and to promote both the Gumball 3000 journey and their country, the Cambodian businessmen organized a supercar expedition with 30 cars in attendance.
When they reached a 400-meter drag racing site, all attention turned to the pair of Bugatti Chirons as they went head-to-head in a thrilling race. Interestingly, the owner of the standard Chiron then got behind the wheel of the Chiron Super Sport and quickly floored the accelerator to see how fast this supercar could go and if it was faster than his own car.

The Chiron Super Sport clocked a top speed of 346 km/h in this short race. Notably, this experience took place at noon when the temperature, as indicated by the Chiron Super Sport’s dashboard, soared to 35 degrees Celsius.
However, it seems that the heat came not from the weather but from the incredible speed of the Chiron Super Sport. If there were a long enough track, this speedster would undoubtedly reach its maximum velocity of 440 km/h.
The French supercar manufacturer produced only 60 Chiron Super Sports worldwide, each with a price tag of $3.9 million, or approximately 90 billion VND, which is $1.3 million more than the standard version. It is estimated that over 20 of these cars are currently in Asia.
The million-dollar Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is equipped with a W16 engine, an 8.0-liter displacement, and four turbochargers, generating a maximum output of 1,578 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque. However, the French automaker has limited the car’s top speed to 440 km/h for safety and regulatory compliance.
