The Audi team participating in the Gumball 3000 World Supercar Tour 2024 in Vietnam this weekend will be a little less exciting, as the entrants will be registering only the high-performance Audi RS line-up, instead of the Audi R8 as in previous seasons.
Specifically, in addition to the Audi RS5 that arrived earlier, there will be two other RS models joining the Gumball 3000 tour this weekend – the Audi RS6 Vant and the RS Q8.
Of the three Audis, only the RS5 and RS6 Vant are new to the Vietnamese car enthusiast scene, while the RS Q8 has already had at least one unit imported into the country.
Compared to the more common Audi A5 and A6 on the roads, the high-performance RS5 and RS6 Vant not only have aggressive styling but also pack a powerful punch under the hood.
Firstly, the Audi RS5 is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged TFSI V6 engine that produces a maximum output of 444 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. This enables the RS5 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 280 km/h.
The Audi RS6 Avant, on the other hand, is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that generates an impressive 592 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
This setup allows the RS6 Avant to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 12 seconds. The standard RS6 Avant has a top speed of 250 km/h due to speed limitations. With the Dynamic package, the RS6 Avant can reach a top speed of 280 km/h. The most advanced Dynamic Plus package enables the car to attain a maximum velocity of 305 km/h.
The most enticing feature of the Audi RS Q8 luxury SUV lies under its hood, where a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine resides, generating an astonishing 591 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
The RS Q8 is equipped with the renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission. This powerful SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 305 km/h when equipped with ceramic carbon brakes.
