A recent post on a Vietnamese supercar group revealed an impressive lineup of vehicles set to participate in the Gumball 3000 2024 event, all assembled in one location in the country. The image showcases a collection of stunning supercars, with additional information suggesting they are being stored in Di An, Binh Duong province.
Prior to this, a batch of approximately ten vehicles intended for the event was transported to Vietnam by air, with their subsequent movements unknown. Now, these cars are receiving meticulous preparation, including the application of event decals, ahead of their participation in the world’s largest supercar rally, taking place this weekend.
The assembly of supercars for Gumball 3000 2024 in Vietnam is now near completion, with only the Bugatti Chiron, Chiron Super Sport, and a limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador SVJ yet to arrive. This trio will join the group from Cambodia, entering Vietnam through a border checkpoint on September 14th, with the SVJ taking the place of the Koenigsegg Jesko as the lead car.
Notable vehicles participating in this 25th iteration of Gumball 3000 include the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster, Koenigsegg Regera “Honey”, Porsche Carrera GT, Bugatti Chiron and Chiron Super Sport, two Lamborghini Aventador SVJ models, Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992 generation) and 911 GT2 RS, multiple Lamborghini Huracan variants, and the Ferrari 812 Competizione, of which only 999 exist globally.
Additionally, numerous other supercars, sports cars, and luxury SUVs from renowned brands such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Chevrolet, and Cadillac will be part of the event. Local Vietnamese enthusiasts will also join in the fun with nearly 30 supercars, including 15 Ferraris, a Bugatti Veyron, a Ford GT, and a limited-edition Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition, presented by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu.
The Gumball 3000 2024 supercar rally marks the event’s 25th anniversary and was initially planned for a different location. However, due to unforeseen complexities, it was rerouted to ASEAN for the first time, with Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore as the chosen host countries. Each participating vehicle is required to pay an entry fee of 2.5 billion VND.
