In October 2023, Skoda officially unveiled the new generation of the Kodiaq SUV in the European market. A year later, the mid-size SUV is set to be launched in Vietnam.
Accordingly, the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 will make its official debut in Vietnam in October at the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2024. This is the first time that the new version of this SUV will be available in the Vietnamese market after its introduction in September last year.
The Skoda Kodiaq 2025 is set to be launched in Vietnam.
Initially, the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 in Vietnam will still offer two petrol engine options as before. The first is a 1.4L 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The second option is a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous version, this engine has an additional 10 horsepower. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, the dimensions and design of the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 have been upgraded. The vehicle’s length, width, and height are 4,758 mm, 1,864 mm, and 1,657 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. Compared to its predecessor, the new Kodiaq is 61 mm longer, 18 mm narrower, and 24 mm lower, while the wheelbase remains unchanged.
On the exterior, this mid-size SUV features an evolutionary design compared to the previous generation, rather than a complete overhaul. The Modern Solid design language is applied, retaining some characteristic details of the Skoda brand, such as the grille with vertical slats and the two-tier front light cluster.

In addition, there are new elements such as headlights/taillights, front/rear bumpers, and alloy wheels. The headlights are full matrix LED with 36 modules, integrated with sharper LED daytime running lights and turn signals that extend downward, forming a “T” shape. Meanwhile, the taillights feature a new “C” shape inside. The vehicle also offers new alloy wheel designs with a diameter of up to 20 inches.

The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 features a minimalist and more modern design than its predecessor. It is equipped with a new 12.9-inch central touchscreen, combined with a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and a HUD display. Despite the larger screen, this model still retains some mechanical buttons inside the cabin.

Additionally, the gear selector of the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 has been moved from the center console to behind the steering wheel, similar to its competitor, the Hyundai Santa Fe of the new generation. This change frees up space in the center console, providing a more spacious storage area between the front seats.

Furthermore, the Skoda Kodiaq 2025 offers a new storage compartment for rear passengers, a cooled compartment for wireless phone charging, a flexible luggage compartment, and a driver’s side door with an umbrella compartment, reminiscent of the Rolls-Royce ultra-luxury car. The vehicle’s cargo volume is 340 liters or 845 liters with the rear seats folded down.
