On January 10, 2025, TC Group announced Hyundai’s vehicle sales figures for December 2024. In the last month of the previous year, Vietnamese consumers purchased a total of 8,316 Hyundai vehicles, a 19.3% decrease compared to the previous month.

For the full year 2024, the Hyundai brand sold 67,168 vehicles, a slight 0.4% decrease compared to 2023. This figure is impressive considering the challenges faced by the Vietnamese automotive market in 2024 due to economic downturns and consumers tightening their spending.

In terms of models, the Hyundai Accent remained the best-selling product for the Korean brand in both December 2024 and the full year 2024. The sedan sold 1,861 units in December and 13,538 units for the entire year. Compared to November 2024, sales of this B-segment sedan decreased by 9.3%. When compared to 2023, Hyundai Accent sales were down by 22.4%.

The second best-selling Hyundai model in December 2024 was the Tucson, with 970 units sold, a 38.7% decrease. The cumulative sales for this C-segment SUV in 2024 reached 6,641 units, an increase of 7.7%.

The third best-selling Hyundai model in December 2024 was the Creta, with sales of 901 units, a 32.2% decrease. In the 12 months of 2024, Vietnamese consumers purchased 8,640 Hyundai Creta vehicles, a 19.3% decrease compared to 2023.

The Hyundai Santa Fe sold 829 units, a 31.2% decrease, ranking fourth in December 2024. At the same time, for the full year 2024, this model recorded sales of 6,941 units, an increase of 8.1%.

Hyundai models saw a drop in sales in December 2024 due to the end of the government’s 50% registration fee support policy.

The Hyundai Grand i10 closed out December 2024 with sales of 751 units, bringing the total for the previous year to 5,831 vehicles. Compared to December 2024 and 2023, sales of this model decreased by 27.4% and 26.5%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai Stargazer recorded sales of 704 units, a 50.4% increase compared to the previous month. Cumulative sales for the MPV in 2024 reached 4,159 units, an increase of 7.8%.

Next was the Hyundai Venue, with sales of 566 units in December 2024 and 4,465 units for the previous year. December sales for this model decreased by 17.9%. However, annual sales grew by 2,380%. This significant growth is expected as the Hyundai Venue was officially launched in Vietnam in December 2023.

The Hyundai Custin MPV followed with sales of 444 units in December 2024, an increase of 12.4%. Sales for the full year 2024 for this model increased by 166.8% to 3,101 units.

Ranking next was the Hyundai Palisade, with 191 units sold in December and 1,587 units for the full year 2024. Sales of this model decreased by 21% in December 2024 but increased by 284.2% for the entire year.

Finally, the Hyundai Elantra sold 146 units in December 2024, a 34.2% decrease. The corresponding decrease for the full year 2024 was 35.8%, with a total of 1,845 vehicles delivered to customers.

Commercial Hyundai vehicles sold 921 units in December 2024. Total commercial vehicle sales for the full year 2024 reached 10,385 units.
