Even before his birthday, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong shared on his personal page a photo of an early birthday gift – the Yamaha 125ZR. This can be considered the first-ever two-stroke engine bike in Nguyen Quoc Cuong’s collection.
The entrepreneur’s 125ZR is brand new and hasn’t even been fueled yet. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong shared that he doesn’t intend to ride this bike but instead will keep it as a display piece in his home.
The Yamaha 125ZR sold in Vietnam was mostly imported from Malaysia. This two-stroke model was discontinued in 2018, which has driven up its price, especially for unused bikes. In Vietnam, owning a brand-new Yamaha 125ZR will cost you no less than VND 400 million.

The Yamaha 125ZR, also known as the Ya “shark,” is equipped with a single-cylinder, two-stroke 125 cc engine. This engine delivers 17 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 16 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The bike features a 6-speed gearbox.
