The recent price adjustments for several high-performance Mercedes-AMG models, including the G63 and GT43, have stirred excitement among automotive enthusiasts in Vietnam. Now, for the first time, the Mercedes-AMG SL43, a sleek convertible sports car, has also seen a significant price reduction.

Mercedes-Benz Vietnam has announced a price adjustment for the Mercedes-AMG SL43. Previously priced at 6.96 billion VND, this stunning convertible is now available for 5.9 billion VND, a substantial discount of 1.06 billion VND.

While this isn’t the largest price reduction ever seen on a Mercedes-Benz model, it’s a notable move for a sports car. The 1.06 billion VND discount suggests that the brand is keen to clear existing inventory of the Mercedes-AMG SL43 before the end of 2025.

All available Mercedes-AMG SL43 units were manufactured in 2023. Currently, there are two pre-owned SL43 models on the market, but with the new official pricing, these used vehicles may struggle to find new owners.

The 7th-generation Mercedes-AMG SL43 boasts an impressive front fascia with its arched grille, featuring vertical slats and the iconic three-pointed star emblem at its center.

The new triangular LED headlights and connected front air intakes, along with side air curtains featuring two small wind splitters, enhance its aerodynamic profile. The sports car is equipped with new dual-spoke alloy wheels, finished in silver with yellow brake calipers, as seen in the featured images.

At the rear, the latest Mercedes-AMG SL43 features new LED taillights, a split trunk design to accommodate the retractable roof, and symmetrical round dual exhaust tips.

One of the most significant updates to the 2023 Mercedes-AMG SL43 is its soft-top roof, replacing the previous hardtop. This change reduces the vehicle’s weight by 21 kg.

The 7th-generation SL43’s roof can be opened or closed in just 15 seconds with the push of a button, even while driving at speeds up to 60 km/h—a notable improvement over many competitors, which recommend speeds below 50 km/h.

Inside the cabin, the new SL43 offers a transformed experience. The sporty seats cradle the driver and front passenger, while the rear seats provide ample space for children, making it ideal for family outings.

The 7th-generation SL43 features an 11.9-inch infotainment screen with full customization options and anti-glare positioning. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Driving modes are adjusted via a dial on the gear selector, and the exhaust sound customization system comes standard. The air vents are inspired by jet engine turbines, adding a touch of aviation flair.

The Mercedes-AMG SL43 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 375 hp at 6,750 rpm and 480 Nm of torque between 3,250 and 5,000 rpm. Additionally, a mild hybrid system provides an extra 13 hp temporarily.

Paired with AMG’s 9-speed MCT automatic transmission, the SL43 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 275 km/h.
