Entering the next generation, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe undergoes a comprehensive redesign compared to its predecessor. The new model features a boxy design and several design elements that are reminiscent of Land Rovers, new H-shaped headlights, and a more premium look that Hyundai claims is optimized for outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts.

According to SangYup Lee, Hyundai’s Global Design Center Director, the all-new Santa Fe is an SUV inspired by a blend of urban life and outdoor activities, catering to every family journey from camping adventures to outdoor exploration by car. “With a longer wheelbase, more spacious interior, and larger cargo space, the Santa Fe will elevate the customer experience,” added the Hyundai representative.

The front face of the 2024 Santa Fe stands out with its unique H-shaped headlight cluster. The H-shaped pattern is also present on the radiator grille and rear bumper, creating a sense of unity. The prominent wheel arches emphasize that this is a vehicle capable of good performance, while the 21-inch wheels give the new Santa Fe a more powerful appearance.

The Korean automaker stated that the fifth-generation crossover has a longer wheelbase and a larger rear cargo area, providing owners with more cargo space. Although Hyundai has not yet revealed the interior volume, the company stated that fully foldable second and third-row seats will offer “best-in-segment spaciousness” in the interior.

In contrast to its angular and muscular exterior, the interior is designed to be more refined. The H-shaped pattern continues to inspire the cabin. Brightly colored seats and headliners create a more spacious interior feel. Additionally, the new Santa Fe’s interior uses premium decorative elements with soft wood panels or exquisitely embroidered seats to enhance the overall luxury appeal.

In terms of equipment and technology, the new Santa Fe is equipped with a curved display consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.

Although Hyundai has not provided any technical details, the “2.5T” badge at the rear confirms that the vehicle will be equipped with a 4-cylinder 2.5L turbocharged engine, generating a maximum power of 277 horsepower and a torque of 421 Nm, just like the current Santa Fe. A hybrid variant will also be available in North America. In Europe, the SUV is expected to be equipped with a 4-cylinder T-GDi 1.6L engine with 226 horsepower and a powerful 261-horsepower plug-in hybrid variant.

The Korean automaker has stated that they will fully unveil the new crossover on the company’s YouTube channel in August.
