Mini is a small car brand produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), now owned by BMW. Mini was considered an icon of the UK in the 1960s.
Launched in August 1959, Mini was introduced to the market under the names Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor. In January 1962, Austin Seven was renamed Austin Mini and Mini became an independent brand in 1969. In 1980, it once again became Austin Mini and in 1988 it was renamed Rover Mini.
Under BMW’s “reign”, the Mini has undergone technical changes but still retains the classic 4-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive.
