Unpredictable: Super Plate 22A-222.22 auctioned for 12.19 billion VND, equivalent to the price of a Mercedes-AMG G63 V1 car.

If the license plate "1" sold for nearly 9 billion VND at the auction, then the super license plate "2" was bid even higher, at over 12 billion VND.

During today’s car license plate auction on December 25, 2023, the joint stock auction company in Vietnam brought out thousands of beautiful license plates for auction, and there was a big surprise when a super license plate was bid for over 12 billion VND.

It has been a long time since a license plate was bid for tens of billions. The license plate we want to mention is 22A-222.22, a super license plate with all 2’s that is only available in Tuyen Quang province. Because of its uniqueness and rarity, a billionaire bid for the license plate for 12.19 billion VND.

12.19 billion VND is the amount of money that many people can choose to buy an expensive car like a used supercar, a brand new luxury car like the Mercedes-Maybach S450, Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, a new generation Range Rover SUV, Lexus LX600 VIP version, or a Mercedes-AMG G63.

But with the same amount of money, a billionaire chose to bid for a license plate, which shows the undeniable beauty of 22A-222.22.

According to regulations, the person who wins the auction for the car license plate must pay the full amount within 15 days from the date of the announcement of the results. This amount is deducted from the deposit (40 million VND) but does not include the vehicle registration fee.

After that, within 12 months, the person who wins the auction for the car license plate must register this license plate for the car. If overdue, this beautiful license plate will be transferred to the registration and management system for vehicles and the winner of the auction will not be refunded the amount of the bid paid.
