The VMRC 2019 season is reaching its final stages, and the competition for the championship title is heating up. In the first four races of the season, the riders showcased their skills and established the VMRC as the premier motorcycle racing championship in Vietnam. With only two races remaining, the fifth race is expected to be highly unpredictable and crucial for the riders’ championship aspirations.

The fifth race will feature 45 riders competing in four categories: Blade 110, MSX 125, Winner 150, and UB 130. The Blade 110 category has 11 riders, MSX 125 has 12 riders, Winner 150 has 12 riders, and UB 130 has 10 riders from 8 different clubs.

In the Blade 110 category, rider Nguyen Duc Thanh currently leads the standings with 64 points after four races, achieving a flawless record. In December 2019, Thanh also participated in Race 7 of ARRC 2019 as part of the Honda Racing Vietnam team in the UB150 category. Behind Thanh is rider Vu Hoang Nam with 43 points, followed by rider Nguyen Manh Phat with 40 points. Winning the fifth race would secure the championship title for Nguyen Duc Thanh in the Blade 110 category. However, the chances for Hoang Nam and Manh Phat to win the championship are extremely slim. Both riders would need to finish first in the remaining two races and hope that Duc Thanh finishes outside the top 12 in both races.

Meanwhile, the competition in the MSX 125 category is incredibly intense, with the top riders closely vying for points. After winning the fourth race, rider Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa leads the standings with 48 points, pushing Nguyen Ngoc Nhan down to second place with 46 points. Rider Tran Minh Luan is in third place with 41 points, closely followed by riders Le Vu Truong Giang and Pham Thanh Bao in fourth place. Given the current point difference, the fifth race promises to be a tense battle for the MSX 125 category.

In the highest category, Winner 150, two riders, Le Hung Huu Tin and Nguyen Anh Tuan, are currently dominating with 58 points each. Behind them is rider Nguyen Tien Thanh with only 29 points. With a 29-point difference, the championship title race in the Winner 150 category will be a close battle between Tin and Tuan. Currently, Nguyen Anh Tuan holds the advantage due to his recent participation in Race 7 of ARRC 2019 as part of the Honda Racing Vietnam team. This experience gives him valuable insights and momentum for the upcoming fifth race of VMRC.

Lastly, in the UB130 category, which involves Wave modification clubs, two riders, Le Phung and Le Trong Vinh, lead the standings with 47 points. Trailing behind them is rider Bui Duy Thong with 42 points. Rider Doan Truong Loi is in fourth place with 41 points. Given the current point difference, the fifth race in the UB130 category will also be highly competitive. Notably, the fifth race will mark the return of “Loc Binh” Le Khanh Loc after a 6-month injury. Since fracturing his thigh bone in Race 3 of ARRC 2019, the fifth race of VMRC 2019 will serve as Le Khanh Loc’s comeback on the asphalt, and it remains to be seen if he can regain his dominance as he did in the first two races of VMRC 2019.

The weather forecast for Binh Duong on 29/12 predicts clear skies with a maximum temperature of around 32 degrees Celsius and a moderate wind speed of approximately 7km/h. These ideal weather conditions will benefit not only the riders but also the spectators who will be present at the 2K race track on Sunday.
