When Kia recently unveiled the K5 facelift, they only showcased images of the standard model. However, a video from Woopa TV’s Youtube channel gives us a sneak peek at the sportier GT-Line version, which was captured parked in an underground car park in South Korea.

Although this particular 2024 Kia K5 GT-Line was spotted in South Korea, it appears to be the version intended for the US market. This can be deduced from the presence of an orange reflector on the front fender. Notably, despite not being officially unveiled, the car is not camouflaged.
The 2024 Kia K5 GT-Line retains the redesigned headlights and taillights seen on recent Kia electric models. It closely resembles the regular version but features a more aggressive front fascia. It’s important to note that this is not the actual GT variant, so the GT-Line model is equipped with a simulated quad-tipped exhaust system, consisting of two large fake exhaust tips and a diffuser at the rear.
While the video does not provide a glimpse of the interior, official images released earlier reveal an updated dashboard with a pair of curved displays. The central control area has also been revamped to achieve a cleaner and more modern look, with the shift lever replaced by a compact knob.
The 2024 Kia K5 is also equipped with high-resolution front and rear cameras, capable of recording and storing footage. Other enhancements include a new HUD display, improved soundproofing materials, and support for over-the-air software updates.
In the South Korean market, the 2024 Kia K5 is available with a range of engine options, including a naturally aspirated 2.0L gasoline engine producing 160 horsepower, a turbocharged 1.6L engine with 180 horsepower, a 2.0L LPI engine with 146 horsepower, and a 2.0L hybrid engine with 152 horsepower. The starting price for the 2024 Kia K5 in the domestic market is 27,840,000 won, equivalent to approximately 20,500 USD.
Although the exact unveiling date for the US version of the Kia K5 remains uncertain, it is expected to take place next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where Kia is set to participate.
