According to data analyzed by Ford and collected by S&P Global Mobility, the Ford Mustang has claimed the title of the best-selling sports car globally for the past ten years.

According to Ford’s internal data, the United States still has the highest demand for the Mustang, accounting for 78% of global sales. Other markets also experienced an increase in Mustang sales in 2022, including Germany, up 17.0%, the UK, up 14.4%, Switzerland, up 14.9%, and the Middle East, up 7.4%.

The all-new 2024 Ford Mustang seventh generation adds another chapter to the iconic pony car’s appearance, sound, and appeal as the world’s best-selling sports car for the past 10 years combined. Whether it’s the convertible or coupe, V8 or 4-cylinder turbo, manual or automatic, the Mustang offers various options at different price and performance levels.

The Mustang now comes with two new engines, the 2.3L EcoBoost engine and the Coyote V8 5.0L engine, the most powerful ever featured in a Mustang GT. Additionally, the all-new Remote Rev feature allows for remote engine activation using the smart key, and the Electronic Drift Brake technology, which is ideal for sports enthusiasts.

The Mustang Mach-E, adding electric drive to the Mustang family, is now available in 39 countries, with recent launches in Taiwan and Australia.

Ford has produced the 150,000th Mustang Mach-E since starting production almost two years ago, a significant milestone as the company plans to scale up electric vehicle production to 600,000 units annually by the end of 2023 and over 2 million units annually by 2026.
