The RZ 300e, a new addition to the Lexus RZ lineup, has recently been introduced. It is positioned as a lower-level variant compared to the RZ 450e.
The Lexus RZ 300e is powered by an electric motor that produces 201 horsepower and a maximum torque of 266 Nm, with front-wheel drive.
The car is equipped with a 71.4 kWh battery pack, allowing it to travel up to 599 km according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). This range is based on models with 18-inch wheels, and it is worth noting that opting for the existing 20-inch wheels will result in a significant reduction in range.
In addition to the new drivetrain, the luxury SUV has received upgrades to its suspension system, including a new rear component, as well as optimized springs, stabilizers, and shock absorbers. Lexus claims that these enhancements ensure a smooth and agile driving experience for the electric SUV, taking advantage of the 100 kg weight difference between the 300e and 450e versions.
Lexus has also introduced a fast-charging battery heating system for the RZ 300e and RZ 450e, which accelerates the charging process when the outside temperature is extremely cold.
In Japan, the Lexus RZ 300e is priced at 8,200,000 yen, which is approximately 1.357 billion VND. This is 600,000 yen (around 100 million VND) lower than the RZ 450e version. The Lexus RZ will also be introduced in 9 new countries and regions in the future, including Central and South America. This strategic move, along with the introduction of the more affordable RZ variant, aims to drive the electrification process of Lexus’ product lineup.
