The fourth generation of Kia Sorento has undergone a mid-life update just three years after its initial launch. It was first unveiled in South Korea on July 25th with a brand new, refined design language and an updated, modern interior. The international versions are scheduled to be released in August.
The 2024 Kia Sorento now has an even more attractive appearance in the real world.
One of the noticeable changes is the redesigned front, featuring sleek LED headlights arranged vertically. The T-shaped daytime running lights are inspired by Kia’s flagship electric model, the Kia EV9, as well as the smaller electric model, the EV5. The tiger-nose grille with a 3D design is similar to the one found on the Carnival.
The rear of the car has also been refined, including the taillight design and the lower bumper trim. The sides of the car remain mostly unchanged, except for the addition of sportier-looking alloy wheels.
In terms of the interior, the designers have created a more harmonious layout for the dashboard. The 2024 Kia Sorento features a new large curved display that combines the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system screens. This new design gives the interior a cleaner and more modern look.
A notable new feature is the fingerprint authentication system, allowing users to verify their identity for starting the car or performing simple payment transactions. Additionally, there are new interior trim material options, including a black/brown combination.
Similar to its predecessor, the Kia Sorento facelift will be available in South Korea with various powertrain options, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid variants. The hybrid model will have both 2WD and 4WD configurations, while the plug-in hybrid variant is expected to be introduced in other markets.
