In 2023, HVN is proud to support the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province in the “2024 Planting Campaign” through the “Keeping Vietnam Green with Honda” initiative. This year’s tree planting activity, held in collaboration with HVN, covers a total area of 8.03 hectares at three locations in Vinh Phuc province: Green Park – Tay Thien Festival Center, the eastern beltway of Tam Dao district, and the road connecting Dong Dau bridge with Hop Chau – Dong Tinh road. The project involves the planting of 3,100 trees of various types.

The “Keeping Vietnam Green with Honda” initiative aims to create green spaces and provide clean air for the local community. It also serves as a basis for HVN and the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province to explore the possibility of issuing Carbon credits, contributing to the national goal of combating climate change, as well as Honda Motor’s global goal of Carbon neutrality by 2050.

As part of the ceremony, on the morning of December 16, Mr. Koji Sugita – General Director of HVN, along with approximately 300 Honda employees and 300 representatives from various departments, districts, cities, national front committees, organizations, units, armed forces, ethnic groups, and students from Tam Dao district, joined hands to plant over 1,600 urban green trees (equivalent to 4.33 hectares) at Green Park – Tay Thien Festival Center.

During the same morning, Ms. Do Thu Hoang – Deputy General Director of Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented commemorative stones to representatives of Tam Dao district People’s Committee along the eastern beltway of Tam Dao district and the road connecting Dong Dau bridge with Hop Chau – Dong Tinh road, recognizing the nearly 1,500 urban green trees (equivalent to 3.07 hectares) that HVN has planted in December.

With the proactive participation and strong determination of all participants in environmental conservation, HVN believes that this initiative will contribute to raising awareness about environmental protection among employees, local residents, and the wider community.
