Recently, Skoda has released a short video revealing the design of the upcoming refreshed C-segment sedan, the Octavia. It is set to be launched next month.
Though not much information has been shared, the video shows that the Octavia facelift has been upgraded significantly, from the exterior design to the interior and even the engine.
According to the video, the Skoda Octavia 2024 impresses with its new radiator grille, accompanied by a redesigned front bumper with prominent air intakes and updated headlights.
The video also reveals the new taillight design. It is highly likely that the rear bumper will also be redesigned to match the changes in the front.
Previously, in the middle of 2023, the Skoda Octavia facelift was spotted during a test drive. At that time, the interior of the car was also revealed.
The interior of the Skoda Octavia remains mostly unchanged compared to the pre-facelift version. However, there is a noticeably larger and higher touchscreen display at the center console.
Skoda has emphasized that the powertrain of the 2024 Octavia will be “optimized for better performance,” but no specific details have been disclosed yet.
However, according to various sources, the engine options for the Octavia 2024 may be similar to the updated Kamiq. The car will be equipped with a turbocharged 3-cylinder engine with a 1.0-liter displacement, producing 114 horsepower.
Additionally, there is a possibility that the car will still use a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, generating 148 horsepower.
Since October 2022, Skoda and TC Motor have signed a cooperation agreement to distribute four models in Vietnam: Kodiaq, Karoq, Superb, and Octavia.
By September 2023, Skoda has only introduced two models: Kodiaq and Karoq. Customers are still eagerly anticipating the release of the next two models, Superb and Octavia, which belong to the D-segment and C-segment sedan categories respectively in Vietnam. Currently, there is limited information about these two sedan models, which has sparked curiosity among users.
