Wuling is a subsidiary brand operated by GM-SAIC-Wuling, and they have made waves in the world with their small electric car, the Hongguang Mini EV, which has achieved sales of over 1 million units in just 2 years since its launch. Building on this success, Wuling has introduced another small electric car, but in a higher-end segment compared to the electric model currently available in Vietnam. This new car is called the Bingo.
Yesterday, on January 12, 2024, Wuling unveiled official images of the Bingo Plus, which is the high-performance version of the Bingo small SUV. The Wuling Bingo Plus is expected to be officially launched in the first half of this year.
According to the official images of the new Wuling Bingo Plus small electric SUV unveiled in China, the exterior of the car has several changes compared to the standard model. For example, the front face still features a closed grille design, indicating it is an electric car, but with additional cut lines along the front that extend down to the bumper, similar to the air intakes on gasoline-powered cars.
On the side, the car has ditched the chrome strip detailing and replaced it with larger black plastic side panels. It also features new 5-spoke alloy wheels, continuous taillights, and a two-tone body with a floating roof effect. Lastly, the headlights have a new design, with the most noticeable detail being the horizontal LED daytime running light strip.
From the interior shots, the air vent and central control panel have differences compared to the standard Bingo. It is expected that the Wuling Bingo Plus small electric car will likely have a price below 100,000 Chinese yuan (14,000 USD), or 326 million Vietnamese dong.
