Hyundai has officially launched the upgraded version of the Ioniq 5 mid-cycle, after nearly 3 years of the electric crossover being present on the market. In this update, the company focuses on improving the performance and driving experience of the Ioniq 5, while the exterior of the car is only slightly tweaked.

The most valuable upgrade on the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the battery pack, with the capacity increased from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh. With a larger battery pack, the range of the new version will be significantly improved. It is known that the current Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a range of approximately 454 km to 507 km, depending on whether it is equipped with four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive.

The overall design of the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 remains largely unchanged compared to the previous version. However, if you observe each detail, customers may notice slight changes in the front grille and front bumper. The width, height, and wheelbase of the car remain the same, but the length has increased slightly by 20mm. The extended roofline by 50mm helps improve aerodynamics. In addition, the 2024 Ioniq 5 is equipped with a rear windshield wiper, while the previous version did not have one.

Contrary to the general trend, the new version of Hyundai Ioniq 5 is equipped with additional function buttons in the central control cluster area. The South Korean automaker said this change was made after listening to consumer feedback. Clearly, integrating all functions of the car into the central touchscreen will make the interior space more modern, but it will also take the driver a considerable amount of time to get used to them.

In addition, the steering wheel is also equipped with new function buttons, integrated heating, and parking assistance technology. The wireless charging pad has been relocated closer to the driver’s seat.

The entertainment system of the Ioniq 5 has been upgraded to the latest version, which supports OTA updates. The safety technology of this electric crossover has also been enhanced with some new features.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 2024 N Line version is equipped with a sporty body kit with brightly colored front and rear bumpers, combined with a larger spoiler and 20-inch wheels. The interior of this version features sport seats, metal pedals, and N Line badges.

Hyundai has not announced the engine power of the new Ioniq 5 model. In the current version, the car has 3 power levels: 168 horsepower (standard/single-motor version), 321 horsepower (dual-motor version), and 641 horsepower (high-performance Ioniq 5 N version).
