The automotive world was recently shaken by the tragic news of a Koenigsegg Jesko, one of only 125 in existence, being completely destroyed in an accident.
Initial reports indicate that this was a custom-built Koenigsegg Jesko Attack “Nur Edition,” owned by a Spanish billionaire. The car was reportedly delivered to its owner just this month.
The accident occurred during the 6to6 Europe Tour 2024, a supercar rally from Greece to Monaco. While on the highway, the Jesko suddenly caught fire. Both occupants managed to escape unharmed, but the car was not so fortunate.
By the time the fire was extinguished, the Jesko was completely gutted. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Jesko featured a unique exposed carbon fiber exterior with gold accents. It was valued at $4 million.
The Koenigsegg Jesko is a megacar powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 5.0 liters. When fueled with E85 biofuel, it produces a staggering 1,603 horsepower, while regular gasoline yields a still-impressive 1,281 horsepower. The Jesko delivers a jaw-dropping 1,500 Nm of torque.
This power is transmitted through a revolutionary 9-speed transmission known as the Lightning Speed Transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The Jesko has a top speed of 482 km/h, a true testament to its supercar status.
