Mazda isn’t the only brand offering deals; several other automakers in Vietnam, including Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Subaru, and Peugeot, are also running promotional programs and discounts to stimulate sales. In addition to manufacturer incentives, dealerships are also providing their own exclusive offers to attract customers during this relatively sluggish period for the Vietnamese automotive market, which has been subdued since the beginning of 2024.
Come July 2024, domestically produced and assembled vehicles will benefit from a 50% reduction in registration fees, as per a government policy. This initiative is expected to invigorate the Vietnamese automotive market in the latter half of 2024. Mazda, being a prominent brand with local assembly operations, stands to gain significantly from this policy.
In May 2024, Mazda recorded sales of 2,290 units in Vietnam, marking a modest 6.5% increase. The CX-5 continued its dominance as the brand’s best-seller, with 892 units sold, while the CX-8 trailed behind with 175 units delivered.
