Lamborghini Unveils the Temerario: A Bold Hybrid Supercar
Lamborghini recently introduced its new high-performance supercar, the Temerario, which is positioned as the successor to the Huracan. The name “Temerario” is Italian for “daring.”
The Temerario comes in two variants: the standard model and the Alleggerita, each featuring one of two new paint colors: Blu Marinus blue and Verde Mercurius green.
Lamborghini Temerario has impressive dimensions, measuring 4,706 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,201 mm in height.
The Temerario boasts a sporty and aggressive design, adopting the “spaceship” style also seen on the Revuelto. Its distinctive look is further enhanced by hexagonal fog lights at the front.
This supercar rides on 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear, equipped with Carbon Ceramic Brakes Plus measuring 410 mm at the front and 390 mm at the back.
Temerario features a larger aerodynamic vent in front of the rear wheel, improving downforce by 103% compared to the Huracan Evo.
Opting for the Temerario Alleggerita package adds a larger rear wing, unique front bumpers, and carbon fiber rims, increasing downforce by 158% compared to the Huracan Evo while reducing weight. The Carbon package further reduces weight with carbon fiber on the rear diffuser, mirror caps, and side air intakes.
Inside, the Temerario offers a modern and sporty cabin, with 3 cm more headroom and 4.5 cm more legroom compared to the Huracan. It features an 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen in the center, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9.1-inch touchscreen for rear passengers.
The car comes standard with electrically adjustable sports seats, and customers can opt for carbon fiber racing seats to optimize the driving position at high speeds.
Lamborghini Temerario is powered by a hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine with three electric motors. The V8 engine produces a maximum output of 800 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque.
Each of the three electric motors delivers 100 kW of power: two at the front provide a combined output of 220 kW and 2,150 Nm of torque, while the third, located within the V8 twin-turbo engine, contributes 300 Nm of torque.
The car also features a 3.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery, 13 driving modes, all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its dry weight stands at 1,690 kg.
With these enhancements, the Lamborghini Temerario can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 343 km/h.
Soon, enthusiasts will be able to catch a glimpse of the Lamborghini Temerario at the Monterey Car Week 2024. The Italian automaker has not yet disclosed the pricing details.
