Toyota Vietnam announced its sales figures for September 2024 on the 2nd of October. The company reported a total of 6,986 units sold nationwide, an impressive 48.6% growth compared to the previous month. Of these, 3,590 units were domestically assembled, while 3,396 units were completely built-up imported vehicles.

Meanwhile, Lexus, the luxury vehicle brand, witnessed a remarkable surge in sales in Vietnam during September 2024, selling 157 units, translating to a 157.3% increase. Since its introduction in the Vietnamese market, the brand has sold a cumulative total of 13,247 vehicles, solidifying its position in the country’s automotive landscape.

The combined sales of both the Toyota and Lexus brands in September 2024 amounted to 7,143 units, reflecting a 50% increase compared to the previous month. Additionally, Toyota witnessed a significant rise in sales of its hybrid vehicles, selling 563 units, a 61.3% jump. This indicates a growing preference among Vietnamese customers for fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly options.

In September, the Toyota Vios maintained its position as the best-selling model, recording sales of 1,842 units, an impressive 82.3% increase. With these figures, the Toyota Vios is poised to secure a spot in the top 10 best-selling automobiles in the country. Moreover, this popular model is likely to retain its leadership position in the B-segment sedan category.

Following the Vios, the Veloz Cross emerged as the second-best-selling model for Toyota Vietnam in September, with sales increasing by 113.1% to reach 1,147 units. Closely behind was the Toyota Yaris Cross, with 979 units sold, representing a 5.6% increase. The Toyota Corolla Cross also contributed significantly, with sales of 801 units, a notable 38.8% jump.
