Wuling Vietnam’s fanpage recently teased a new product with the status “B… for Beauty,” suggesting that the upcoming release embodies elegance and style.
The shared image reveals the anticipated Wuling Bingo, speculated to enter the Vietnamese market in 2024, making its debut soon.
The vehicle is expected to be introduced to local customers by the end of October or early November.
Earlier, in June, TMT Motor’s official website featured two Wuling Bingo cars within their Hung Yen-based factory premises in Van Lam, thus confirming their plans to distribute this model in Vietnam.
Wuling Bingo boasts dimensions of 3,950 x 1,705 x 1,580 mm (LxWxH) and a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, positioning it in the compact A-segment, where it will directly compete with the VinFast VF 5 (3,965 x 1,720 x 1,580 mm).
The Wuling Bingo showcases a curvaceous design reminiscent of the Mini Cooper. It sports 14-inch wheels, notably smaller than the VinFast VF 5’s 17-inch rims.
While the specific features for the Vietnamese market are yet to be disclosed, the Wuling Bingo in other markets offers a 7-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 10.25-inch central infotainment screen. It also includes perks such as electric seat adjustment, automatic climate control, a push-button start, and an electronic parking brake.
On the safety front, the Bingo provides essential features such as ABS/EBD, electronic stability control, a rearview camera, parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Launched in Thailand in July, the Bingo is equipped with two electric motor options: a 41 hp variant with 110 Nm of torque and a more potent 68 hp version delivering 150 Nm. The LFP battery option, with a capacity of 17.3 kWh, enables a range of 203 km on a single charge. The higher-spec model, featuring a 31.9 kWh battery, offers an impressive 333 km range.
According to rumors, the Bingo will support fast charging, allowing a quick boost from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes.
Pricing details for the Wuling Bingo in Vietnam remain undisclosed. In other Southeast Asian markets, this electric vehicle is priced between VND 540 million and VND 580 million. Local sales consultants anticipate a competitive price range of VND 500 million to VND 600 million for the Wuling Bingo in Vietnam.
However, with Wuling’s lack of charging infrastructure in the country and relatively basic features, the vehicle may face challenges in competing with rivals like the VF 5 Plus, priced at only VND 460 million, and other CUVs or hatchbacks in the segment, such as the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Toyota Wigo.
