The Lamborghini Countach is an exceptionally special supercar from the “bull” company, with the first model being introduced from 1974 to 1990. It quickly became an unusual phenomenon in the automotive design world, and in 2021, the Italian company revived the name and the LPI 800-4 designation for a gas-electric hybrid based on the blockbuster Sian.
There are only 112 of these million-dollar supercars produced worldwide, with an unbelievable selling price of $2.64 million. This gives you an idea of how expensive this car is, and of course, not every enthusiast is willing to spend that much on a car.
Minh “Nhựa” teases about the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, expected to cost nearly VND 300 billion
That’s why when Minh “Nhựa” hinted at buying the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 in July this year, it shocked both car enthusiasts and the online community. Recently, this car enthusiast confirmed once again his choice of adding the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 to his car collection.
With only 112 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4s produced and sold for $2.64 million each, this will be a new milestone for Minh “Nhựa” when the car arrives in Vietnam. It is three times more expensive than the Pagani Huayra and more than the McLaren Elva.
The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is developed based on the Lamborghini Aventador, taking inspiration from the design of the first-generation Lamborghini Countach introduced almost five decades ago. However, the key lies in its technology, which is shared with the Sian FKP 37, an expensive hypercar.
The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is equipped with rectangular headlights, a trapezoidal hood, and a narrow grille that stretches across the width of the front end, similar to the first-generation Countach. Even the “Countach” lettering on the car’s grille uses the same font as the supercar that debuted in 1974.
On the sides, the new Countach features angular wheel arches, triangular air vents in front of the rear fenders, and air intakes behind the windows. The rear end is designed with a more modern look, featuring hexagonal taillights reminiscent of the Sian. In addition, there is a large diffuser and four round exhaust pipes.
Minh “Nhựa”‘s chosen Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is equipped with a mild hybrid powertrain, including a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces a maximum of 769 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 48V electric motor that adds 34 horsepower and is located inside the 7-speed automatic transmission, along with all-wheel drive.
In total, the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 has a power output of 803 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 8.6 seconds, and reach a top speed of 355 km/h.
