Zeekr has officially announced that its all-electric MPV, the Zeekr 009, achieved impressive sales figures in November, with 4,201 units sold. This sets a new record for the brand’s flagship MPV model.
The company also revealed that during the same month, the Zeekr 009 topped the sales charts for pure electric vehicles priced above 400,000 Chinese yuan (approximately $55,000) and became the best-selling MPV in the same price range.
The Zeekr 009 MPV is generating buzz and is expected to be a hit in the Vietnamese market.
The Zeekr 009 MPV offers a range of configurations, including 6-seater, 7-seater, and the luxurious 4-seater Zeekr 009 Grand. First introduced in 2022, the model received an upgrade during the summer of this year.
Since the launch of the 2024 Zeekr 009, sales have been on an upward trajectory. The 2024 model made its debut in July 2024 in China and Hong Kong.
The vehicle has also been introduced in Malaysia and, more recently, in Singapore. There has been speculation about its launch in Vietnam this year by Zeekr’s local sales agents, but it might be pushed to next year.
The 2024 Zeekr 009 boasts generous dimensions of 5217/2024/1812 mm, with a wheelbase of 3205 mm. The upgraded model features enhancements such as 30 Yamaha speakers, LiDAR sensors, a dual-chamber air suspension system, and an impressive 778 horsepower. It also offers a maximum range of up to 900 km CLTC, the longest among current all-electric MPVs.
The refreshed model has significantly boosted the sales of the Zeekr 009, as the previous version sold only 2,907 units in the first half of 2024. With the introduction of the new model, the 2024 Zeekr 009 has sold a total of 16,701 units before the year’s end.
This success can be attributed to the introduction of a more affordable 7-seater FWD variant and a reduced starting price of 61,000 Chinese yuan (approximately $8,400). The 2024 Zeekr 009 is priced from 439,000 Chinese yuan (around $60,400), which is approximately 1.4 billion Vietnamese dong.
