Volkswagen’s latest electric vehicle, the ID.UNYX 06, has recently surfaced in China’s newest MIIT declaration catalog. The new model could be an enhanced version of the ID.UNYX, which is a smart compact electric coupe SUV belonging to Volkswagen’s ID.UX line, launched in July 2024.

For reference, the ID.UNYX is priced at 209,900 – 249,900 Chinese yuan (28,900 – 34,400 dollars) and offers a range of 614 km and 555 km (CLTC).

ID.UX symbolizes “Turning every moment into gold.” By 2027, Volkswagen plans to introduce five smart, all-electric models in this product line, produced by Volkswagen Anhui, the carmaker’s third joint venture in China.

In Q3 2024, this line sold 373 units, including 175 in July, 77 in August, and 121 in September. Subsequently, as of November 2024, the total number of ID.UNYX registered nationwide in China reached 563 units. Currently, to boost sales in the price war, the price of the ID.UNYX has been reduced by 40,000 yuan to 169,900 yuan (23,200 dollars).
