The Ford Ranger MS-RT is a head-turner for traditional car enthusiasts at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). This racing-inspired pickup truck is a collaboration with M-Sport, the team behind Ford’s World Rally Championship (WRC) efforts.

The Ranger MS-RT takes a different approach from the rugged, off-road style typically associated with Ford’s Raptor version. Previously exclusive to the European market, the Ford Ranger MS-RT is equipped with a body kit inspired by the Thailand Super Pickup racing series.

The front of the Ford Ranger MS-RT stands out with its sporty front bumper, incorporating a splitter, honeycomb grille, and trapezoidal air intakes. The flared wheel arches are connected to muscular side skirts, resulting in an 82mm wider body.

The wider body is complemented by a 40mm lowered suspension and new 21-inch wheels. These are the largest wheels ever fitted to a Ford Ranger, wrapped in high-performance ContiSportContact 5 UHP tires instead of traditional off-road tires. Additionally, this pickup features automatic retractable side steps and an MS-RT-branded fuel filler cap.

At the rear, you’ll find two spoilers, one on the roof and a duck-tail spoiler on the tailgate. Meanwhile, the rear bumper incorporates a diffuser to enhance aerodynamic performance.

Inside the cabin, the Ford Ranger MS-RT boasts racing-style sports seats with 8-way electric adjustment. Accents of blue are found throughout the interior, including on the steering wheel’s 12 o’clock marker and the seats, which are trimmed in a combination of leather and suede-like materials. The seats, floor mats, and area around the gear lever all feature MS-RT branding in blue.

Under the hood, the Ford Ranger MS-RT is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine that produces 250 horsepower, an increase of 10 horsepower over the standard model, and 600 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronic four-wheel-drive system.

The Ford Ranger MS-RT retains its impressive payload capacity of 1 ton and a towing capacity of 3.5 tons. Its suspension has been upgraded with stiffer front shocks and a retuned rear setup.
In Thailand, the Ford Ranger MS-RT is priced at 1.749 million baht (approximately 1.318 billion VND) in the standard Absolute Black paint. An optional Conquer Grey color is available for an additional 10,000 baht (7.5 million VND).

It is currently unclear if Ford plans to introduce the Ranger MS-RT in other Southeast Asian markets, such as Vietnam, following its launch in Thailand.
