A convoy of supercars recently made an appearance on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, quickly grabbing the attention of the online community. Interestingly, among them were several limited-edition models, showcasing the extravagant tastes of Vietnam’s elite, rivaling those of global enthusiasts.

Among this impressive convoy, two limited-edition supercars stood out: the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, of which only 800 were produced globally, and the McLaren 765LT, with a limited production run of just 765 units. Additionally, there were two McLaren 650S Spiders and a McLaren 720S N-Largo by Novitec, one of only 15 in existence.

Compared to the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupe, the newly registered Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster boasts a unique feature—a two-piece carbon fiber hardtop that can be easily removed and installed by hand. To open the roof, the owner simply needs to release the latch located behind the headrests. The process of removing and installing the roof can take over 20 seconds. The storage compartment for the two carbon fiber roof panels is located in the front bonnet. Only 800 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadsters were produced worldwide, and two of them have already been brought to Vietnam, including a yellow one and an orange one featured in this article.

In the US market, this open-top supercar is priced at $573,966, equivalent to 13.32 billion VND. In Germany, customers would need to spend €487,866, or about 13.2 billion VND, to own one. However, in Vietnam, the local elite had to pay over 30 billion VND for a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster with diplomatic plates; if registered with a white plate, the cost would exceed 60 billion VND.

The newly spotted Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster in Phu Yen is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that delivers a maximum output of 759 horsepower and a peak torque of 720 Nm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed ISR gearbox and a four-wheel-drive system.

This Lamborghini supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, 0.1 seconds slower than the Coupe version, and can reach 200 km/h in 8.8 seconds. The top speed of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster is an impressive 350 km/h.

Turning to the McLaren 765LT, this supercar is not just a road-going vehicle but also a thrill-inducing machine on the race track. Compared to the McLaren 720S, the 765LT features noticeable exterior changes and is 80 kg lighter. To achieve its lightweight construction of 1,229 kg, the McLaren 765LT utilizes advanced carbon fiber components, a titanium exhaust system with four tailpipes, and thinner glass.

It sports a carbon fiber front bumper and side skirts, giving it a very aggressive and race-inspired look. The McLaren 765LT also boasts the highest number of exhaust tips among current McLaren models, with a set of four round pipes that promise to deliver an exhilarating and distinctive sound compared to the already impressive McLaren 720S.

Following McLaren’s traditional naming convention, the number 765 indicates the limited production volume of 765 units worldwide. The letters “LT” stand for “Long Tail.” Under the hood, the McLaren 765LT is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine with twin-turbochargers, generating a maximum output of 755 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm.
