Over the past 30 years, Toyota has been a steadfast partner in Vietnam’s automotive industry and societal development, delivering meaningful value to customers and communities. This milestone not only signifies sustainable growth but also reflects the trust, support, and collaboration of millions of customers, partners, and government agencies. Building on this foundation, Toyota has achieved remarkable accomplishments:
The first automotive brand in Vietnam to achieve impressive milestones: over 700,000 vehicles produced, more than 1 million vehicles delivered to customers, and over 20 million vehicles serviced through authorized post-sales services.
Cumulative export revenue of auto parts and components reached nearly $1 billion USD.
Contributed over $14.4 billion USD to the state budget, ranking among the top 10 largest taxpayers in Vietnam in 2024.
Invested nearly $32 million USD in corporate social responsibility initiatives across four key areas: Traffic Safety, Environmental Protection, Culture & Society, and Education & Workforce Development, enhancing community well-being.
Built a robust local supply chain with 61 suppliers, including 13 Vietnamese enterprises, and localized over 1,000 components, while fostering a dedicated and passionate workforce.
These achievements are a testament to the unwavering support from customers and society, fueling Toyota’s commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products and services, diverse mobility solutions, and community-focused initiatives.
Looking ahead, Toyota remains dedicated to Vietnam’s prosperous development. The company will continue to modernize and expand domestic production, supporting the stable growth of the automotive industry and supply chain with cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.
During the ceremony, Mr. Nakano Keita, General Director of Toyota Vietnam, stated: “Toyota Vietnam will modernize its new headquarters and manufacturing facilities, launching the first Hybrid vehicle production line with an investment of over $360 million USD.”
Mr. Tien Quoc Hao, Chairman of Toyota Asia and Senior Managing Officer of Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan, overseeing the Asian region, added: “Vietnam is a nation with a young, dynamic population and immense growth potential. We are committed to leveraging multi-dimensional technologies to meet diverse mobility needs, ensuring no one is left behind.”
Toyota’s 30-year journey is built on trust and collaboration. The company deeply appreciates the support from the Vietnamese Government, the provincial authorities of Phu Tho (formerly Vinh Phuc), Toyota and Lexus dealer networks, suppliers, business partners, employees, media outlets, and, most importantly, its valued customers. This trust will continue to inspire Toyota to contribute to the automotive industry’s growth and the nation’s prosperity.
