Mid-Size SUV Sales in November 2025 (units: vehicles)
Mazda CX-5: 1,766 Units
In November 2025, the rankings of mid-size SUV models remained unchanged from the previous month. The Mazda CX-5 continued to lead the segment with 1,766 units sold, a 10.7% increase. Additionally, the Mazda CX-5 once again secured a spot among the top 10 best-selling vehicles in Vietnam.

Mazda CX-5
The Mazda CX-5’s appeal stems from its eye-catching design, comprehensive features, reputable brand, ample domestic supply, and attractive pricing, ranging from 749 to 979 million VND. In December 2025, the vehicle received a 40 million VND discount, reducing the starting price to 709 million VND, further challenging its competitors.
The Mazda CX-5 offers two gasoline engine options in Vietnam: a 2.0L and a 2.5L. These engines deliver 154 hp/200 Nm and 188 hp/252 Nm, respectively. They are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive or full-time AWD.
Ford Territory: 1,539 Units
Trailing the Mazda CX-5 is the American contender, the Ford Territory, with 1,539 units sold, a 7.6% increase. It is one of only two mid-size SUV models to surpass 10,000 cumulative sales in the first 11 months of 2025, alongside the CX-5.

Ford Territory
The Ford Territory has been upgraded in the Vietnamese market with enhanced design and features while maintaining a reasonable price range of 762 to 896 million VND. Notable features include a dual 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys 3D Audio, fast-charging ports for both front and rear seats, and an interior rearview mirror with live video streaming capabilities.
Powering the vehicle is a 1.5L turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, producing 160 hp and 248 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD).
VinFast VF 7: 1,225 Units
The VinFast VF 7 retains its third position in the mid-size SUV segment, with 1,225 units sold, a 2.9% increase. This all-electric SUV continues to captivate Vietnamese consumers.

VinFast VF 7
The VinFast VF 7’s appeal lies in its design, features, and pricing, ranging from 799 to 999 million VND (including battery). Low operating costs, minimal maintenance, a nationwide charging network, and free charging for VinFast vehicles until June 30, 2027, further enhance its attractiveness.
The VinFast VF 7 is available in three variants in Vietnam: Eco, Plus 1-axle, and Plus 2-axle. The Eco variant features a single electric motor with a maximum output of 174 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery, offering a maximum range of 375 km on a full charge (WLTP).
The Plus variants feature dual electric motors with a combined output of 349 hp and 500 Nm of torque. They are equipped with a 75.3 kWh battery, providing a maximum range of approximately 431 km on a full charge.
Hyundai Tucson: 1,003 Units
In November 2025, Hyundai sold 1,003 Tucson units in Vietnam, a 7.9% increase. Within the Hyundai family, the Tucson has relinquished its position as the best-selling model to the Creta.

Hyundai Tucson
The Hyundai Tucson has consistently benefited from promotional campaigns. December 2025 is no exception, with a 58 million VND discount. Beyond promotions, the Tucson is favored for its appealing design, diverse features, and competitive pricing, ranging from 769 to 989 million VND.
Customers can choose from three engine options: a 2.0L MPI gasoline engine, a 2.0L diesel engine, and a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine. These engines deliver 156 hp/192 Nm, 186 hp/416 Nm, and 180 hp/265 Nm, respectively. They are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, an 8-speed automatic transmission, or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Honda CR-V: 648 Units
As mentioned earlier, the Honda CR-V is the only model in the mid-size SUV segment to experience a sales decline in Vietnam. With 648 units sold, sales decreased by 12.4%, preventing the model from improving its position in the segment.

Honda CR-V
The Honda CR-V lacks a pricing advantage, with a range of 1.029 to 1.259 billion VND. However, its design, comfort features, safety, and driving experience are highly regarded. Notably, the CR-V is one of the few mid-size SUVs in Vietnam equipped with a hybrid powertrain.
The hybrid variant features a 2.0L four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 146 hp, combined with two electric motors generating a total of 181 hp. The combined output is 204 hp and 335 Nm of torque.
Other variants feature a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 188 hp and 240 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
In 2026, the Honda CR-V hybrid (e:HEV) will be locally assembled instead of being imported from Thailand. Additionally, a new L trim will be introduced, offering a more affordable option for Vietnamese consumers.
Kia Sportage: 229 Units
The Kia Sportage remains at the bottom of the mid-size SUV segment, despite a remarkable 62.4% growth rate. However, its actual sales are modest, with only 229 units sold.

Kia Sportage
Developed and produced by the same conglomerate as the Hyundai Tucson, the Kia Sportage lags significantly in sales. This is partly due to its less mainstream design and less attractive pricing, ranging from 819 million to 1.009 billion VND. The high initial pricing three years ago also influenced consumer perception.
The Kia Sportage offers the same three engine options as the Hyundai Tucson.
