The Vietnamese car market experienced significant growth in November 2025. However, not all car models saw improved sales compared to the previous month. The VinFast VF 5 stands out as the only model in the A-segment SUV category to witness a decline in sales during this period.

A-Segment SUV Sales in November 2025 (units: cars)
VinFast VF 5: 3,072 Units
In November 2025, the VinFast VF 5 sold 3,072 units, a 30.9% decrease. Despite this decline, the VinFast electric vehicle remains the leader in the A-segment SUV category in terms of sales. Moreover, compared to its closest competitor, the Kia Sonet, the VinFast VF 5 sells five times more units.

This figure brings the total sales of the VinFast VF 5 since the beginning of the year to 38,478 units. With this result, the VF 5 is currently the second best-selling car in the Vietnamese market, just behind its sibling, the VF 3.
The VinFast VF 5’s appeal stems from its attractive price of only 529 million VND (including battery), compact design, sufficient features, low operating costs, extended warranty policy, widespread public charging network, and a free battery charging program until June 30, 2027.
This model uses an electric motor with a maximum power of 134 horsepower and a maximum torque of 135 Nm, making it the most powerful in the A-segment SUV category in Vietnam. After a full charge, the car can travel up to 326 km according to the NEDC test cycle.
Kia Sonet: 682 Units
The Kia Sonet maintains its second position in the A-segment SUV sales ranking. This South Korean model achieved sales of 682 units, a 30.6% increase, making it the model with the highest growth rate in the A-segment SUV category in November.

The Kia Sonet in Vietnam is available in four versions, with prices ranging from 499 to 624 million VND. In the A-segment SUV category, the Sonet is the most expensive model. However, Kia Vietnam has consistently offered discounts for this model. In December 2025, the car received a 30 million VND discount, depending on the version. The starting price is now only 485 million VND.
The Kia Sonet wins over Vietnamese consumers with its attractive design, fashionable features, comprehensive equipment, and reputable brand. Under the hood, it features a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 113 horsepower and a maximum torque of 144 Nm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that simulates eight gear shifts.
Toyota Raize: 380 Units
In line with the overall market growth, the Toyota Raize also saw increased sales compared to October 2025. In November, this model sold 380 units, a 3.2% increase.

Similar to the VinFast VF 5, the Toyota Raize in Vietnam is available in only one version, but at an attractive price of 510 million VND. Additionally, the car boasts advantages in design, features, and brand reputation.
The “heart” of the Toyota Raize in Vietnam is a 1.0L turbocharged gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 98 horsepower and a maximum torque of 140 Nm. The engine is paired with a Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission (D-CVT).
Hyundai Venue: 185 Units
The model with the lowest sales growth rate in the A-segment SUV category in November 2025 is the Hyundai Venue. This model sold 185 units, just one more than in October.

The Hyundai Venue is currently the most affordable option in the A-segment SUV category in Vietnam, with prices ranging from 499 to 539 million VND. Additionally, the car offers other advantages such as attractive design, diverse features, and a powerful engine for its segment.
The “heart” of this model is a 1.0L turbocharged inline three-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 120 horsepower and a maximum torque of 172 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Suzuki Fronx: 116 Units
The last position in the A-segment SUV category in Vietnam in November 2025 belongs to the Suzuki Fronx. This newly launched model achieved sales of 116 units.

The Suzuki Fronx was launched in Vietnam in October 2025 with three versions and prices ranging from 520 to 649 million VND, which is relatively high for the segment. This prompted Suzuki to offer a 60 million VND discount for this model in December 2025 to stimulate demand.
Unlike its competitors, the Suzuki Fronx features a sleek SUV-Coupe design. It also comes with ample features such as a 9-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 6-speaker sound system, USB Type A/Type C charging ports, automatic climate control, rear air vents, and a head-up display (HUD).
This model, imported from Indonesia, is equipped with a 1.5L K15C four-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid Vehicle (SHVS) mild hybrid technology, a new 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and a 6 Ah lithium-ion battery. The gasoline engine produces a maximum power of 101 horsepower and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. The electric motor adds 3.1 horsepower and 60 Nm, allowing the car to consume only 5.2 liters of fuel per 100 km.
