Competing fiercely with Korean and Japanese rivals, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam has launched an official promotional program for its models, including the Omoda C5. In the final month of 2025, this Chinese-made B-segment SUV will receive a 100% registration fee subsidy, valued between 54 and 67 million VND, depending on the variant.
With this official promotion, the Omoda C5 offers an attractive price starting at 485 million VND for the standard version and 602 million VND for the top-tier variant. Compared to other B-segment SUVs in Vietnam, the C5 presents a more competitive price point.
The Omoda C5 isn’t the only B-segment SUV with official promotions this December. Toyota Yaris Cross offers a 50% registration fee subsidy, valued up to 42-48.5 million VND, depending on the variant. Mitsubishi Xforce provides a 100% registration fee subsidy for three variants, saving customers 60-70 million VND.
Similar to the Toyota Yaris Cross, the Honda HR-V also offers a 50% registration fee subsidy, valued between 35-43 million VND. Hyundai Creta has a 50 million VND discount, while Kia Seltos offers a 30 million VND reduction.
In addition to the Omoda C5, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam is also running a promotion for the Jaecoo J7. Specifically, the Jaecoo J7 receives a 90% registration fee subsidy, reducing its actual price to just 669-789 million VND. This pricing is quite competitive in Vietnam’s C-segment SUV market.
Like the Jaecoo J7, several other C-segment SUVs also feature attractive December promotions. The segment leader, Mazda CX-5, offers a 40 million VND discount, starting at 709 million VND. Honda CR-V reduces its price by 80 million VND, starting at 949 million VND. Hyundai Tucson offers a 58 million VND discount.
Omoda and Jaecoo are brands under China’s Chery Group. In Vietnam, their vehicles are distributed by Geleximco Group. Notably, these are the first Chinese brands to establish an automobile assembly plant in Vietnam. Located in Hung Yen Province, the plant began construction in late 2025 and is expected to complete in 2026.
According to the Chinese brand, the Hung Yen plant will initially assemble two models: Jaecoo J5 and Omoda 4, both in the B-segment SUV category. The Jaecoo J5 will offer three powertrain options: gasoline, pure electric, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The Omoda C4 will feature four options: gasoline, pure electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid.
Starting in 2026, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam plans to introduce several new models to the domestic market, including the Omoda C5, Jaecoo J5, Omoda O4, Jaecoo J6, Omoda C7, and Jaecoo J8.
