An exclusive Ferrari event for new owners took place last night, December 13, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing dozens of the iconic “prancing horse” vehicles and a large crowd of automotive enthusiasts.
Surprisingly, the majority of the Ferraris present were from the 296 series, marking an unprecedented surge in demand among Vietnam’s affluent buyers. The event showcased at least five 296 models, with nearly 15 units already on the road nationwide.

Among the Ferrari 296 lineup, one GTB model was present, while the rest were GTS variants—an intriguing hybrid convertible. The cars featured striking colors, including gray, yellow, and navy blue.
Design-wise, the Ferrari 296 GTS convertible shares much with the 296 GTB, though the addition of a retractable roof required extra storage space, increasing the vehicle’s weight by 70 kg compared to the GTB.

The Ferrari 296 GTS retains the power of the 296 GTB while offering the added convenience of a roof that opens or closes in just 14 seconds.
Operating the roof is seamless, thanks to a dedicated control button integrated into the central console, alongside the window controls.

The Ferrari 296 GTS convertible delivers a maximum output of 654 horsepower and 425 Nm of torque from its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, identical to the Coupe variant. Additionally, an electric motor positioned between the internal combustion engine and the 8-speed gearbox contributes an extra 164 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
Thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Ferrari 296 GTS achieves a combined output of 818 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. This enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
