On November 19, 2020, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam (MMV) teamed up with the professional off-road racing team, Racing AKA, to participate in the annual off-road car racing event called "HTV Challenge Cup 2020 Terrain Challenge". Racing AKA will be using the New Mitsubishi Triton to compete against two other teams, notably marking the first appearance of a female racing team.

The PVOIL Cup 2019, the biggest off-road auto racing event in Vietnam, is all set to host 80 teams with a total of 160 participants.
