Bentley has recently launched a limited edition of its Bentayga SUV, called the Apex Edition, which is the work of the British carmaker’s renowned Mulliner personalization division. The special edition is based on the Bentayga S variant and has a focus on boosting the car’s performance.

A key highlight of the Bentley Bentayga Apex Edition is the manufacturer’s use of 22-inch carbon fiber wheels. These are the result of a collaboration between the British marque’s Mulliner division and the Bucci Composites brand. Compared to their metal counterparts, these wheels are both stiffer and 24 kg lighter. According to Bentley, they both reduce tire wear and enhance braking performance.

Furthermore, the special edition SUV also gets a carbon-ceramic braking system as standard. This new braking system alone shaves off 20 kg from the car’s weight. Continuing the performance theme, the Bentayga Apex Edition features a new sports exhaust system, rear-wheel steering, and active roll control.

At the heart of the car is the familiar twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, which produces a maximum power output of 542 hp and a peak torque of 770 Nm. Thanks to this, the luxury SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 290 km/h.

Bentley will offer six exterior design themes, all of which come with a painted stripe running from the bonnet to the end of the hood. This is a sporty design cue that has been introduced for the first time on the Bentayga. Several exterior elements are made of carbon fiber, including the spoiler, mirror caps, side skirts, and the limited-edition badging on the D-pillar.

Inside, the cabin is dominated by a red color scheme, which is complemented by white stitching and piping. Carbon fiber trim can be found in various places, such as the dashboard, center console, instrument panel, and door panels. Customers can also choose between a five-seat or a four-seat layout, with the latter featuring two individual seats in the rear. The door sills gain “Apex Edition” lettering.

According to Bentley, only 20 examples of the Bentayga Apex Edition will be produced globally. Customers can personalize their cars to their liking in order to create a one-of-a-kind vehicle, as the Mulliner personalization division offers a wide range of options when ordering the car.

Pricing has not been announced, but the Bentayga S variant starts from VND 18.9 billion in Vietnam. The Apex Edition is expected to carry a significantly higher price tag.
