At the BYD headquarters, Vietnamese media witnessed the company’s achievements and experienced its cutting-edge technologies housed in the BYD museum. Thousands of patents trace the company’s history of innovation and its journey to becoming a global brand.

Vietnamese media representatives not only observed from afar but also witnessed the superior quality of the Blade Battery technology, which effortlessly passed the penetration test without combusting. Additionally, technology models highlighted BYD’s core values in the new energy vehicle industry. During a meeting with the Vietnamese media, Liu Xueliang, BYD’s Director for the Asia-Pacific region, shared the company’s vision for the Vietnamese automotive market.

With its young and dynamic population, proactive environmental policies, and open mindset, Vietnam possesses the necessary factors for the development of the new energy vehicle market. While certain challenges remain, BYD recognizes the potential of the Vietnamese market and has prepared a strategy, promising to provide Vietnamese customers with aesthetically pleasing products featuring safe, economical, and high-performance battery technology. Liu Xueling stated, “Sustainable development is BYD’s business philosophy in Vietnam. The products we choose to introduce will not only focus on BYD’s core technological values but will also demonstrate our adherence to ethical standards and social responsibility through clean energy solutions that prioritize user safety. BYD stands ready to accompany Vietnam on its journey to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.”

During the tour, Vietnamese media also had the opportunity to experience the brand’s flagship vehicles at the BYD Shenzhen headquarters, including the BYD Atto 3, BYD Seal, BYD Dolphin, BYD Han, BYD Sealion 6, BYD Denza D9, BYD Denza B5, and YangWang U8. In addition to BYD’s core Blade Battery technology, each vehicle boasts unique advantages tailored to diverse customer needs. Among them, the YangWang U8 stands out as a premium model introduced by BYD in October 2023, showcasing advanced technologies.

Apart from experiencing new energy vehicles, Vietnamese media also tested the Skyshuttle self-driving pod, one of BYD’s technological achievements. The trip provided the Vietnamese media delegation with a comprehensive overview of the vast scale of BYD’s headquarters – a global leader in electric vehicles – with its modern vision and deep commitment to technological innovation.

“Through the visit of the Vietnamese media delegation, BYD hopes to convey comprehensive information about the company and the technological values we pursue for a better life. We sincerely thank the Vietnamese media for taking the time to visit BYD’s headquarters, listening to our insights, and experiencing various aspects of BYD. We anticipate that the first BYD vehicles will soon be on Vietnamese roads, bringing fresh impetus to this dynamic market,” said Liu Xueling.

BYD’s vehicle sales reached 3.02 million units in 2023, a 61.9% increase over 2022. This record-breaking sales volume makes BYD the world’s largest NEV brand. In the same year, BYD’s total vehicle exports reached 242,675 units, representing a growth of over 334% compared to 2022. In the Vietnamese market, BYD plans to officially launch in June 2024.
