The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, based on the Lexus GX 460, has been sold for $18,250 (approximately 420 million VND) and has found a new owner.
In the United States, Toyota discontinued the Land Cruiser Prado SUV model in 2014. Customers can now only purchase the more expensive Lexus GX version. Consequently, the availability of Prado vehicles has become limited, and many people are actively searching for them.
Catering to this market demand, an American man decided to transform his 2010 GX 460 SUV, with a mileage of 305,000 km, into a 2018 Land Prado version. After listing it on an online auction site, he successfully sold it for $18,250.
This luxurious SUV has been meticulously “converted” by the owner, both on the exterior and interior, closely resembling the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado model.
Additionally, the owner also replaced the Lexus logo on the front grille, rear trunk, and steering wheel with the Toyota logo.
The luxury SUV is further equipped with new front/rear bumpers, headlights, grille, hood, step boards, and taillights.
Inside the cabin, the gear lever, center control panel, and cup holders have been sourced from the 2021 GX 460.
The vehicle’s drivetrain remains unchanged, featuring a 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 301 horsepower and 446 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, the car is equipped with off-road capabilities such as a limited-slip center differential lock from Torsen, an adaptive suspension system, and a ground clearance of 200 mm.
