Honda Japan has just launched the new version of the Vezel line, which is also known as the HR-V in the Vietnamese market. Although it is only a mid-life upgrade, the 2024 HR-V has received many adjustments in terms of design, equipment, and engine power.
The exterior of the new HR-V features a noticeably smaller grille in both height and width, and the bumper has also been redesigned for a sportier look. The most notable upgrade is that the 2024 HR-V now uses LED headlights with projector support, along with an auto high-beam feature. The rear of the car retains the overall familiar design, but the taillights have been slightly redesigned.
Honda has not made any changes to the interior of the new HR-V. Instead, the company has focused on safety features by adding a traffic jam assist system and a misapplication acceleration pedal control system.
In terms of power, Honda says the car’s response has been improved to be more responsive thanks to adjustments in the powertrain operation. The engine on the car still includes a 1.5L gasoline engine and a 1.5L hybrid engine, detailed specifications have not been announced by the company.
In addition to the regular versions, Honda Japan also introduced the HuNT accessory package. This package includes a roof rack, 16-inch gray painted alloy wheels, orange accents on the exterior and Fabtech leather on the seats.
Honda is expected to start selling the 2024 HR-V in Japan from April this year, with prices to be announced at the same time. In Vietnam, the Honda HR-V is currently being sold in 3 versions, with a starting price of 699 million VND.
